Adaptive Commissioning Solutions (ACS) is a truly independent, third-party commissioning with offices in North Texas and South Florida. We specialize in commissioning complex building types and focuses on healthcare, higher education, and mission critical markets with projects located in Texas, Florida, and several other states.
ACS emerged out of a desire to service clients with the freedom and agility to provide the best-in-class commissioning service and become the first call a client makes when a trusted advisor is needed. We work with the owner’s best interest at heart.
Adaptive Commissioning Solutions was born through the collective expertise of its three founders: Rodney Ashmore, Kevin Chow, and Michael Scott. All of them bring distinct and extensive experience from their time in the building design and construction industry.

Cx Scoping Meetings
ACS uses scoping meetings to ensure general contractors are informed of the commissioning activities being performed on the project, durations, and predecessors necessary to start the work. This step gives the construction team what they need in better inform a complete schedule.
Daily Huddle Support
We can provide support for daily huddles during functional performance testing. The day before testing, our team provides the construction team with what equipment will be tested and the related systems that are needing to be fully functional during that time period. This minimizes re-testing efforts that can come from trade partners planning shutdowns for systems while Cx is testing a connected item.
Pull Planning
We can participate in the construction team’s pull plan. Having commissioning involved in this process keeps the commissioning team informed of the inevitable schedule changes and the construction team aware of how those changes will affect the commissioning activities prior to the Cx team showing up onsite.
Proactive Team Integration
When integrated into the design and construction team, commissioning is no longer an afterthought. Communication flows more freely, conflict is minimized and the owner receives a better end product.

Rodney brings more than 15 years of Commissioning experience, specializing in Boilers, Chillers, Gen-Sets, and controls integration in Higher Education, Mission Critical Labs (BSL), Healthcare, Research, Manufacturing, and Commercial applications.
He is involved in Engineering Consultation, Project Management, and Business Development on new, retro and energy efficiency projects.
Rodney is a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) and NICET Certified.

Kevin is a professional engineer with 15+ years in consulting engineering, specializing in healthcare facilities. Kevin brings project and office management skills to ACS and is involved in the operations, project financials, engineering consultation, and client management.
Kevin has managed teams across an extensive project list. He is experienced in both project design and construction phase efforts and guiding project teams through critical decisions. He brings successful history in cost management and maintaining project budgets both internally and externally.
Kevin is a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas as well as a certified LEED AP BD+C through the US Green Building Council.

MICHAEL SCOTT

Michael is a technical leader in mechanical and building automation control systems with experience in commissioning, MEP design, facility assessments, energy audits, and project management. Michael’s experience includes new regional hospitals, major hospital renovations, 20+ story high rise, laboratory, pharmacy, academic, hospitality, municipal, multifamily, mixed-use commercial, and central plant replacements.
While working as a mechanical engineer, Michael was both MEP project manager and lead mechanical engineering for major hospital projects. He has lead commissioning teams and provides technical oversight for commissioning new projects, retro-commissioning, facility assessments, and energy audits nationwide.
Michael is a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (PE), and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
